Personal Care Training Lab

Personal Care Training Lab

Continuum of Colorado has been providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities/delays for over 40 years. In 2012, Continuum of Colorado became a (non-medical) licensed Home Health Agency by the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment.

The Personal Care Training Lab was established as an instruction course and learning lab to provide other agencies in our community a resource to send their staff. We provide a great environment for them to obtain the necessary skills for Personal Care Worker certification.

The Training Lab consists of:

  • 4 hours of interactive instruction

  • Small class sizes

  • Classes are held twice each month (additional classes scheduled for groups of 6 or more)

  • Newly renovated facilities

Students will be practicing the skills they will be using by practicing on each other. Please come prepared to demonstrate competency in the following areas:

  • Wash hair

  • Brush teeth

  • Mock bathing and bed baths

  • Lifts and transfers

  • Use of gait belts

  • Adaptive equipment
